The Merry & Glow Event. Thank you!
A little over two and a half years ago, I was living in London and on days like today, I remember having been working in the center of the city with the fast rhythm of busy streets like Oxford Street and Soho.
Feeling quite overwhelmed, stuck in my thoughts or as I call it - with the autopilot mode on- thinking about the day-to-day worries, the needs of my work responsibilities, that I would take a year more to have the Christmas Eve dinner as a family. Among all those thoughts, in my head once again resonated those uncomfortable questions in my head ... - What are you going to do with your life, Laura? You're wasting time ... are you going to spend your whole life like this?
I had no idea. if someone has been or is right now at this point, surely I understand perfectly how stressful it can be. From this humble blog I want to give this message - even if you find the answers, they dont always materialize as you thought. Stop demanding and accept that you are already on the right path.
I'm not going to lie or sugarcoat it, it was a very bitter season. I felt miserable, disappointed, angry with everyone and complaining a bit.
The only thing I knew was that I did not want to spend the rest of my life working in commerce, not because it was a bad thing, but I felt I could give much more of myself. That end of the year was decisive for me. To end so much doubt and start making decisions for the new year. That's when coaching for a professional career came into my life, I needed to put my thoughts and emotions in order.
When I tried to find very precise answers, my anxiety levels grew and I blocked myself emotionally. I then took other alternatives to avoid blockages: I began to imagine scenarios that made me happy, stop demanding so much from my mind and start letting my heart speak.
In those imagined scenarios of my mind I envisioned concepts - sometimes I saw a lot of relationships: a community of women belonging to a local collective, collaborating among entrepreneurs, use creativity and let my passion carry me, all the laughter that resonated in my head ... All those conceptual scenarios that I had had as a draft in my mind, materialized last Sunday, December 3, as if it were a deja-vu:
There were the values for Glow: women learning, sharing, making sisterhood and also believing in what I do, with full trusting in myself. As Ana Albiol says; "the important thing is the desire", and there was many.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the attendees who came to the Merry & Glow course bringing such a good vibe and making everything so easy. Also a big thank you to María of 'The Health Studio' for being one half of this little adventure, and to make reality of joining my passions for beauty and food.
I leave you some photos of the Merry & Glow event, our first makeup and brunch workshop t, the food was delicious and the girls learned how to make an easy and simple smoked for these holidays.
Keep Glowing!
