Barcelona Bridal week gala 2021, backstage chronicles
From all the things a love about being a makeup artist one of the things it gives me that sugar rush feeling is Backstage. I love how between all that chaos, the artist we are devoted together to develop something extraordinary. the rush, the stress, the beauty, the last minute touch up, I just love it!
If on the top of everything is your first backstage after many months of pandemic and my first year of maternity, I just couldn’t be more excited!
The last 14th of October I had the pleasure of being part of The makeup team By the iconic makeup artist Maite Tuset. She is an incredible makeup artist and one of the must humble person I know, cero pretentious just pure art.
She and Jordi …. were the responsable of creating and coordinating the makeup bridal looks for the bridal designers, this time the purpose fo the show was boost the bridal industry which was terribly damaged from the pandemic months.
The bridal makeup looks were very pretty and fresh, based on skincare prep, glow and radiant foundation, face bone sculpting and some pink accents. We were privileged to be sponsored by Le Pure, a beautiful radiant skincare and six glow organic foundation shades.
For the eyes it was important to be framed by eyebrows, nothing to harsh but well defined, for the checks we used pink blush a little bit on the center for a romantic vibe.
For lips the look was juicy and pinky, some of the look were more pinkish than others but all were with a pinch of pink lipstick, well blended on the lips with some clear lip gloss on the top, it was so lovely!

Working in backstage it´s all about rush and effective products to reach your skin goal. Thats why skin prep is the key for glow and natural look.
I always like to start the skin prep cleansing with micellar water and afterwards using thermal water to remove the micellas on the skin surface.
Once the skin is clean and fresh I apply super hidrating but lightweight serum like MIZON Serum Hydrating with hialuronic acid 100 before the serum is totally settle at the skin I like to use a little bit of this gorgeous face oil Ami Iyok Slow liquid tapping with my fingers and insisting in the most dry areas like cheekbones using this technique we kind of achieving this natural highliting effect.
For hidrating and locking the moist at the skin I always like to use Face cream Ami Iyok Iyokbalance , love the texture because is not greasy and help me to control the shiny
